Richard E. Zimmerman is an experienced financial industry professional with a background in private wealth management and sustainability. He has held senior leadership positions at banks, brokerage firms, and multi-family offices. He has also served in strategic roles for NGO's in the areas of transformational finance and impact grant making as well as for causes such as the environment, AIDS, and child advocacy.
Richard is currently a Private Banker in New York where he works with global wealthy families.
Richard is an International Council Member for the Earth Charter Initiative, an Advisory Board Member for Riverkeeper, and a Board Director for the Capital Institute. He is a published author of “What Can I Do to Make a Difference,” Penguin Books USA, a guide to global issues of sustainability and individual actions to make positive change.
Richard has a M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. He lives and works in New York City.
